Having now also installed Sierra, what is interesting is that Apple Music actually looks much improved on the Mac.
Previously, it looked pretty poor on the Mac largely because so much of it wasn't making use of the all the screen - it was like they just rushed out the Mac version based on the iOS version with lots of narrow centred stuff with all that white space not doing anything.
Now it looks like the opposite - AM looks much improved on the Mac, with full screen scrollable rows of content, much more in the style of the iTunes Store, making the For You and Browse sections look a lot better. The big bold heading won't be to everyone's liking, but on a 27" iMac I think they get away with it.
So at the moment it looks like they've started by fixing th Mac version, and have reverse engineered it for iOS. Trouble is, screen estate is limited on the phone, so the big bold headings and text aren't just subjectively bad in some people's view - I think they are objectiv my bad because they impact on the amount of information presented in a small space.
Hopefully between now and September this will be blindingly obvious to them, and they can tweak the iOS version over future betas.
