Jesus Christ. What's up with all the hate and bashing?

This looks pretty amazing, their pretty much addressing all that's wrong with the current UX. I do not fancy the font myself, but everything else looks like a huge improvement.

They somehow managed to make this look worse. The fonts in particular are quite un-apple.

And I thought I was the only one who thought this. Looks more like the former "Beats" app than an Apple app.

I'm go out on a limb and say that I actually like the UI of the music app as is compared to the re-designed app. Maybe the design will grow on me over the summer...

Wow.. They have ironed out a lot of bugs from the Music app and fixed some UX stuff. And now all that positive development is going to be thrown into trash with the next update.
Huge and awflul-looking fonts, a lot of empty space in the menus and just plain ugly in every way.

They've gotta change the bold font between now and the final release of iOS 10. This is just awful. How the hell did this make it to the coding phase? It should have been laughed off the table.

Or at the very least a downloadable app or something? I don't understand. Wasn't AM basically a Beats music app byproduct and couldn't you access it via the web??

I think the new design is great and to be honest: Spotify is ugly and overloaded as well. It's just that u don't see it because you got used to it

I hope the interface changes a lot throughout the beta period. It looks horrible IMO.

Lot of hate, geez. Are we really that snobbish to criticize the presenter as well? It sort of fits in with Apple Music's direction these days.

The bold font, feels odd. I do enjoy Apple Music, but the way Apple changed the app feels way too oversimplified.

I wonder if this revamp will allow us to maintain an Apple Music-centric iCloud Music Library that doesn't have to touch our "main" iTunes library? That "downloaded music" section looks like it could be part of it? I just think it's ridiculous that to save an Apple Music album or playlist I have to *also* upload/match/potentially demolish my iTunes library w/iCloud Music Library.

At WWDC today, Apple revealed an all-new Apple Music redesign while also confirming that the service has officially reached 15 million paid subscribers. The redesign introduces a bright and simplistic aesthetic and a new "Library" launch tab on the bottom left.

A few other minor additions include a new lyrics feature and revamped "For You" tab with daily curated playlists aimed at each Apple Music user.

even the new lyrics is improperly done, amazon music shows you what part of the song is currently playing.

Maybe a developer can steal the iOS 9 app and strip out all the Apple Music crap so we can have our old local files only player.

My wife and I had much fun during the demo, it was hilarious. The lady really did well, now I want to subscribe Apple Music! Well I'll continue staying with Spotify though.

Not sure if it's the blockish UI, or the way the stage image is cropped. Maybe it's the font. But if I weren't paying attention I would have thought I'd just viewed a Zune or a Windows Phone.

Lol I had high hopes when they announced the dark mode for Apple TV but of course to no avail :/

there are many already, but its not as centralized to work w siri and other apps in the background. plus you can't download music from itunes on the spot that you already bought

Not too excited about this one. All I really need is a way to download and play the music purchases I made. The whole social aspects and recommendations don't work so well for me.

but its ping in your pocket....
someone really wants the social aspect to happen in apple and doesn't understand that is not what people want.
