They are rudderless about things that users who are paying serious dough for high end hardware actually care something about like a version of Siri that’s in the same league as ChatGPT or Gemini. That’s for sure!
When it comes to gimmicky wastes of time like adding more useless features to other, already established, gimmicky wastes of time like Genmoji, then their rudder appears to be intact and steering steadily toward mediocrity.
Just don’t point that out or the Cook apologists in this thread will have a meltdown.
Oh and this is coming from somebody who believes Tim Cook has done a good job up until recently of stepping in and taking on the Herculean task of attempting to fill Steve Jobs shoes.
That he’s had as much success as he has is no small feat. Jobs hand picked him over all others for a reason and that reason is evident in the company’s growth since Jobs passed away but that doesn’t change the fact that the buck stops with him and that somebody in the C-Suite should’ve been fired over the AI fiasco. Being relieved of one’s duties isn’t good enough in the face of blatant deception and false advertising.
