arrgh, I wanted to be the 4 millionth poster. Congrats anyway.![]()
You don't know until you read them. And what you find interesting might not be what someone else finds interesting.
This is all relative anyway: the 4,000,000 has to be compared to other forums and the number of posts they have - with the same spread of different types of posts. It's not an absolute. It's not something like this.

This "atta-boy" is just a smoke screen because no one has any info on the iMacs specs! I'll bet the post count is really only 3,965,294 and NOT 4 mil.
What kind of Mac rumor community do we have when T-minus less than 2 days to iMac launch and we don't even have the specs yet! Sheeesh.

How is this negative in any way? It's fantastic news.
Wait...didn't it say that it took 10 months for 3 million posts and 9 months for 4 million?
And I think we'll hit 5 million posts by the end of the year or early January. There are a lot more new people here now than 9 months ago. I'm guessing 10 million posts by mid 2009.
So when do you predict the total number of iPhones sold will match the total number of posts on MacRumors?![]()
I'd like to see that total-posts graph done on a logarithmic scale.![]()
This site is the #1 resource for all Mac News and Rumors, it provides a great snapshot of the Mac Rumor net in one swoop. I am still shocked to think I was here before post #1, and 3 months before the forums came into existence.
That sounds like something which would be right up Doctor Q's alley!![]()
What exactly happened back then? I mean, a forum without posting...![]()
