Apple Watch Gets Snapchat App

snapchat should add a few things:

-multiple device support

- persistent chat option for those who want it. It could still let people edit or delete their own messages at any time, like most other platforms, but sometimes it's nice to have a relatively persistent thread when communicating, even with the ability to make edits at any time to control our own digital footprint. It doesn't have to be default, it could be an option of course.

- change the logo and branding to something less kooky and more professional

Snapchat is on the web.

You can also change it to persist.

You can actually also change the logo on your iPhone - tons of options.

I remember using Snapchat in high school and wanting to open snaps right from my wrist. That time has now passed and I don't think anyone actively uses snap anymore.

You got old and moved on. But Snapchat's still there. In fact, I'd imagine most of its appeal stems from the fact that old people don't use it.

I wish Messenger would come back to watch, my 2 best friends and the guy I’m dating only use messenger… idk why since 2 of them have iPhones. I keep my Facebook account because of them.

Snap kids and college students still use. I employed teens and college students until I sold my business last year. My niece and nephew 12 and 15 use TikTok the most.

Maybe making this for Apple watches gives them more practice and more of a codebase for building Snapchat for Apple's rumored AR glasses. They already have their own glasses, but want to be cross-platform, I'm sure.

it’s wild people still use Snapchat.

there’s still some good uses for it

way less curated than the posts I see and make on IG

it just feels more free to post and interact there. IG feels like a chore having to see all these people’s life updates and respond to the videos I’m being sent.

The app has been there during the past month, but it does nothing but to show a yellow screen with Snapchat logo.
