I am still perplexed at how people are losing Siri remotes? I have 3 and never lost them.
Well, they LIKE it rough in Ohio, West Virginia, and Alabama.these things really need to be SLA prints and not filament based. Not befitting of an apple product to have such rough surfaces, imo.
I lose mine nightly!I am still perplexed at how people are losing Siri remotes? I have 3 and never lost them.
And think of the cost saving factor too lolSo does my elegant homemade duct tape solution but you posted no article about it![]()
Clearly you dont have children.Do people still lose their remotes? 😆
Children lose remotes. Parents have to find them.Do people still lose their remotes? 😆
The remote itself should have been compatible with FindMy, assuming it isn't.
Also, will AirTags be a good solution for this since we now know the tracking ability can't be shared among family members? Seems like a remote-finding solution should respond to a request from anyone in the household.

I don't necessarily think FindMy item makes sense for a shared remote, but they certainly could have made it ping-able from the TV itself. It's still unbelievable to me the new remote doesn't have the W1/Airtag functionality built in.
They're never lost so much as slid into blankets, between cushions, behind the couch, etc. Would be great if it could just emit a noise in those moments.I guess I'm in the minority here, in that I've never lost my Apple TV remote.
Agreeing with that – would almost be its own feature as it isn't likely to be lost in the outside world. Let the phone tell your AppleTV to go trigger the beeping via its Bluetooth connection. Sure an M1-powered "point-to-find" would be a bonus, but really just a sound would go a long way for most users. Can’t apple just put a “find my remote” feature in it?
Yeah same. You’d think they could really.I’ll tell you what I lose a lot - the Apple Pencil! Think they can fit another chip in there?
Yes, or from Siri or our other digital assistants or from Apple Watches. It's not so much that we are losing these things, but rather that they can extremely easily slip behind couch cushions, under blankets, etc. Just make a way that we can make them beep upon request.I don't necessarily think FindMy item makes sense for a shared remote, but they certainly could have made it ping-able from the TV itself.
For me I don’t really need the whole airtag function. Just making it be able to make a sound would be all I need to find it easier, when it falls into the couch.I guess I'm in the minority here, in that I've never lost my Apple TV remote. Is there really a pandemic level number of people losing their ATV remotes that want tracking devices on them, or built in?
Between the wife, myself and our 3 kids… the Apple remote vanishes faster than money after an Apple event. 🤣Do people still lose their remotes? 😆
Which means you will lose ANY remote and how do you plan to stick Airtags of other remotes duct tape?Between the wife, myself and our 3 kids… the Apple remote vanishes faster than money after an Apple event. 🤣
