One anecdote
So I was walking to class this morning and I was behind these two guys having a pretty spirited discussion. I heard the word "iPod" and so I perked up my ears.
Turns out both of them are PC users. One of them has been saving up for an iPod for a while, and was really excited by the rumors for the $150 mini iPod the last few weeks (this is the first time I've ever known non-Apple users caring enough about Apple products to pay attention to Apple rumors). I was really happy to see that the buzz around the iPod has been so good that these PC users were paying attention to *rumors*!
But then the guy says something like, "... it's a little smaller, but only 4 gigs, and costs $250! I was totally disappointed. And then I went to the store and they said that the minis won't be here for another month anyway. I said, screw it. And bought the Dell instead."
The other guy then chimes in with some comment about "That company. It's always missing the boat."
I didn't want to eavesdrop on them any more after that.
Hey, Apple can do no wrong, right?
