Nomad's Base Station Pro has the ability to wirelessly charge three devices at once, including compatible iPhone models and AirPods. There are no "hot spots" to target either, allowing devices to be placed anywhere on the surface to begin charging.



This discount code is only for the new and full-priced Base Station Pro and will not apply to any other products, including the refurbished version of the Base Station Pro.

The accessory supports up to 7.5W charging speed and is powered by a 30W USB-C power adapter. The surface is made from a black padded leather and its framed by an aluminum finish, with no-slip grip on the bottom to ensure stability.

With the addition of an Apple Watch Mount, you can also add Apple Watch charging to the Base Station Pro. It costs $14.95, but does not include an Apple Watch Charger. For anyone with an iPhone 12 series, I recommend avoiding this product, it's very problematic and I returned mine.

I'd recommend sticking with MagSafe for iPhone 12.

I love great design.

But I find it pretty tasteless to use so many resources (plastic, dead animals) to make a throwaway device like a phone charger.

  • A decent, high-quality desk organiser could last decades.
  • A phone charger lasts a couple of years perhaps.

Stick them together and now the whole thing's doomed to end up in a landfill site within several years.

Yuck.

DO NOT GET THIS.

I have the full set I got back in 2019 and it is utter trash. Even a 1cm shift stops charging the device, and to get your phone to charge at a remotely decent speed, you need to have it sit sideways covering the entire pad, fuxing with it until it starts charging.

I’m shocked so many have had poor experiences with this. I have a base station pro and I use it for an iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 8 and AirPods pro every single day. After the latest firmware update, it works beautifully and I love being able to place my device anywhere unlike traditional wireless chargers.

the only time it doesn’t charge my iphone to 100% is when apples optimized charging feature prevents it from charging past 80% through no fault of the charger.

I highly recommend this product and at the $99 price it’s a steal!

I’m actually very happy with mine. Works all the time no matter where I place the iPhone 12 Pro Max or AirPod headphones. Not really fussed about charging speed so have never checked it as it just sits in my desk through the day for top up charging.
Was even tempted to get another one at this price. (Tested the cart and code does work)

As an aside, I’m really not loving MagSafe on the iPhones. On laptops it makes perfect sense but it seems to be less beneficial on iPhones not to mention some of the issues owners are experiencing. I hoped Apple would ditch it but it seems they’re doubling down on it for future iPhones (I suspect they’re trying to go port-less and MagSafe would eventually act as data driver for diagnostics and direct cable connections).
 
If you ask me, Apple has basically made it impossible for any device like this to be a success. It's frustrating that AppleWatch STILL doesn't support Qi or MagSafe, and that means it won't work with the regular charging area. (I know Apple seemed to think it was possible to make a pad that handles everything, but they weren't able to deliver.)

And for iPhones, WiFi syncing still really doesn't work that well either, which means you have to plug it in to USB anyway. So basically I'd be left with using this pad for AirPods, and that's about it. You can get a single-device pad for $11 (maybe less if you're lucky).

This Pro version only came out like 6 or 7 months ago, and doesn't have any alignment issues like the previous models did. It can charge in any position.

Why a phone charger would only lasts a couple of years?

But they're likely to be perceived as 'slow' or 'out of date' compared to newer, faster models.

Anything with a short shelf life should be built using as few materials (and as many sustainable materials) as possible.

Well, until magsafe was presented, Qi chargers were the ones available for wireless charging, they are still in use and can perfectly last a lot more years.
7.5w is a pretty decent charging speed, and more healthy for the battery than any faster one.

And, what materials are you talking about? Most of chargers are made of plastic and metal. Are those sostenible?
Or are you just complaining about leather?
