Apple this week unveiled limited-edition Beats Studio Buds in celebration of the Lunar New Year on February 1, 2022. The custom Beats feature a red design with gold tiger print accents on the earbuds and charging case as a tribute to the Year of the Tiger.

The limited-edition Studio Buds will be available on January 1 and only in China, with pricing set at 1,099 yuan, which is the same price as the standard Studio Buds.

Beats Studio Buds launched in June 2021 and are available in red, black, and white for $149 through Apple's online store. The wireless earbuds feature a compact round design without any "stems" dropping below the ears, active noise cancellation with up to five hours of listening time per charge, hands-free "Hey Siri" support, IPX4-rated sweat and water resistance, Find My support, and a USB-C wired charging case.

Apple is also celebrating the Year of the Tiger with a limited-edition AirTag in Japan. As part of a Japanese New Year promotion, the first 20,000 customers in Japan who order a new iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, or iPhone SE from Apple on January 2 or January 3 will receive the AirTag, which is stamped with a custom-designed tiger emoji.

They don’t ever do these limited editions here in the US right?
We don't celebrate Chinese New Year, different traditions etc. And by the way, Apple does occasionally release limited edition things in the US.

If only there was a Chinese holiday celebrated by selling colorful products in America we could finally have AirPods in other colors.

I really wish these had iCloud integration. If they had better mics/noise canceling they’d be perfect. It was a very hard choice between keeping these or APP, but in the end I chose APP for the mic and iCloud

Or visit. I'll pass.

I had a trip to Japan planed for last year, planned pre-pandemic. Obviously it didn't happen. I'm still depressed over it. Maybe some day...
I have a former coworker that has been living in Shanghai for the last 3-4 years....teaching filmmaking after winning numerous short film competitions here and there. Also having a "resident artist" status bestowed on her.

everyone is obsessed with china but nobody wants to move there. interesting.
Correction: everybody is obsessed with Chinese money.

We will see how things are post Covid though. And the CCP seems to be clamping down on a lot of things (eg. They are scrutinizing their own high tech companies like tencent and Alibaba). We shall see if the money and spending power keeps high.

When you say iCloud integration, do you mean the Apple H1 chip?.

Try the different sized silicone gaskets. They help quite a bit with the noise reduction, assist the ANC to do its job.

Potentially, this might be available in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and/or Singapore as well.
Yeah true....so eBay. at a crazy price....I have a friend that works in a Starbucks here and she said that everytime any kind of "limited edition' anything is available, there are people waiting to scoop them up and get them on eBay. I remember there was a special limited edition Starbucks rose gold card available....it was $400.00, but it came with $400.00 preloaded. They were on eBay the next day with the preloaded amount gone and asking prices of $500.00
